Professional Social Work and Mental Health Counselling is available to patients by referral from your regular FHT health care provider.

Expert social workers will provide you counselling and support that is respectful of culture, race, religion, gender and sexual orientation. We provide short term counselling to a maximum of 12 sessions. The initial session will be approximately one hour, and subsequent sessions will be forty-five minutes in length.

Our social workers are an integral part of the Health for All Team and will work with you and your health care provider. They can provide confidential counselling services for a wide range of issues, including:

  • Addictions

  • Depression
  • Family and parenting Issues
  • Fears and phobias
  • Grief and loss

No information can be released to a third party without your informed consent.
